Rupiah Exchange Rate Strengthens to Rp 15,682 per US Dollar (Tuesday, November 8, 2022)

As of 10:43 WIB this morning, the rupiah exchange rate in the spot market was traded at Rp 15,682 per US dollar on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. This exchange rate strengthened by 0.16% compared to the previous day's closing, which was traded at Rp 15,707 per US dollar. Today's trading of the rupiah exchange rate is expected to move in the range of 15662.5 - 15727.5.

As shown on investing.com, the rupiah exchange rate in the spot market has been under pressure, weakening by 0.56% in a week. Compared to 30 days earlier, the rupiah exchange rate in the spot market has weakened by 2.87%.

However, for the one-year data range, the rupiah exchange rate in the spot market has actually experienced a decrease (strengthening). In the last year, the previous highest record reached Rp 15,740 per US dollar.

For the period January-November 2022, the rupiah exchange rate in the spot market experienced a weakening trend, moving 3.24% compared to the condition a month ago, which was at Rp 15,190 per US dollar.

The current rupiah exchange rate follows most regional currencies that are weakening against the US dollar.

This morning, according to several major currencies monitored by Bank Indonesia, the South Korean won strengthened by 9.56 points (-0.69%) to KRW 1,383.86 per US dollar. Following this, the Japanese yen weakened by 0.03 points (+0.02%), the Singapore dollar weakened (+0.11%), the euro weakened (+0.10%), and the Chinese yuan weakened by 0.02 points (+0.22%).
