Latest Food Prices in West Java: Red Chili Up, Cayenne Pepper Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today were observed to rise compared to yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (July 28, 2025) at 17.56 WIB, out of 24 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases include pure beef, packaged wheat flour, skipjack tuna, shallots, and consumption salt.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as dried soybean (imported), corn at farmer level, red cayenne pepper, curly red chili, and broiler eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Large red chili commodity surged the highest by Rp1,905 (4.26%) to Rp46,587 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red cayenne pepper dropped most sharply by Rp3,054 (5.95%) to Rp48,232 per kg.

8. Milkfish: Rp37.605 per kg (up 0.49%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp36.753 per kg (up 0.12%)
