Today's Food Prices in South Sumatra: Chili Prices Up, Sugar Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (13/10/2024) at 08.28 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include medium-grain rice, bulk cooking oil, simple packaged cooking oil, premium rice, and dry soybean (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as SPHP rice, chicken eggs, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), chicken meat, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of curly red chilies saw the highest increase, jumping by Rp3,200 (13.37%) to Rp27,140 per kg. The price of bulk wheat flour experienced the steepest decrease, dropping by Rp640 (7.14%) to Rp8,320 per kg.

5. Chicken Meat: Rp32,470 per kg (down 1.4%)
6. Red Onions: Rp29,180 per kg (up 7.6%)
7. Milkfish: Rp28,230 per kg (up 4.02%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp28,230 per kg (up 4.87%)
9. Curly Red Chilies: Rp27,140 per kg (up 13.37%)
10. Chicken Eggs: Rp25,960 per kg (down 1.1%)
11. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp18,000 per liter (up 3.51%)
12. Bulk Cooking Oil: Rp17,010 per liter (up 6.38%)
13. Granulated Sugar: Rp17,000 per kg (down 2.07%)
