Ministry of Defence's Largest Spending on Personnel in 2020

Based on data from the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu), the Ministry of Defense's (Kemenhan) expenditure realization in 2020 amounted to Rp 136.87 trillion. This figure increased by 18.65% compared to the previous year's realization of Rp 115.35 trillion.

The largest portion of Kemenhan's expenditure was for employee compensation, reaching Rp 48.69 trillion or 35.57% of the total expenditure last year. This figure decreased by 3.59% compared to the previous year's Rp 50.5 trillion.

Kemenhan's capital expenditure amounted to Rp 44.91 trillion or 32.81% of the total expenditure. This figure increased by 59.12% from the previous year's Rp 28.22 trillion.

Kemenhan's goods and services expenditure was recorded at Rp 43.28 trillion or 31.62% of the total expenditure. This figure increased by 18.15% from the previous year's Rp 36.63 trillion.

According to the institutional breakdown, Kemenhan's own expenditure realization was Rp 34.62 trillion or 25.3%. The Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) Headquarters (Mabes) expenditure realization was Rp 10.37 trillion or 7.58%.

The Indonesian Army Headquarters (Mabes TNI Angkatan Darat) expenditure realization was Rp 56.85 trillion or 4.14%. The Indonesian Navy Headquarters (Mabes TNI Angkatan Laut) expenditure realization was Rp 19.78 trillion or 14.45%. Meanwhile, the Indonesian Air Force Headquarters (Mabes TNI Angkatan Udara) expenditure realization was Rp 15.24 trillion or 11.13%.
