Medium-Sized Red Onion Prices in Traditional Markets April 2025-2026 Period

Quoting from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 07:45 WIB, the daily medium-sized red onion price in traditional markets of the Riau Islands Province did not change compared to the previous day, nor in the last week.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily medium-sized red onion price in traditional markets decreased from the previously recorded Rp40.2 thousand.

Meanwhile, the daily medium-sized red onion price in traditional markets in the Riau Islands over the last three months has fallen by 26.06%. According to historical food price records on the PIHPS price panel, the daily medium-sized red onion price in traditional markets of the Riau Islands Province was traded at Rp48.35 thousand.

The record increase in daily medium-sized red onion prices in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in December 2016 with an increase of 20.99%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in August 2016 with a decrease of -11.5%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, today's prices of nine staple foods in the Riau Islands Province show that 17 commodities decreased and three others increased. The staple foods with price decreases are: Daily Beef in Traditional Markets by Province, Bulk Cooking Oil in Traditional Markets by Province, Red Chili in Traditional Markets by Province, Medium-Sized Red Onion, Cooking Oil in Traditional Markets by Province, Bird's Eye Chili in Traditional Markets by Province, Red Onion in Traditional Markets by Province, Fresh Chicken Eggs in Traditional Markets by Province, Green Bird's Eye Chili in Traditional Markets by Province, Garlic, Grade 1 Beef in Traditional Markets by Province, Granulated Sugar in Traditional Markets by Province, Chicken Eggs in Traditional Markets by Province, Premium Granulated Sugar in Traditional Markets by Province, Medium-Sized Garlic, Curly Red Chili in Traditional Markets by Province, and Local Granulated Sugar in Traditional Markets by Province.
