Indonesia's Daily Food Prices: Chicken, Cooking Oil, and Salt Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Thursday (7/11/2024) at 14.10 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 5 commodities increased in price and 16 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price are bulk cooking oil, farmer-level corn, pure beef, red chilies, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged cooking oil, medium rice, skipjack tuna, fine iodized salt, and dry soybean (import) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn saw the highest price increase of Rp50 (0.84%) to Rp6,020 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red chilies saw the sharpest decrease of Rp490 (1.72%) to Rp28,050 per kg.
