This is the enormous wealth of a tax official under scrutiny due to their child's involvement in an assault case.

Tax official Rafael Alun Trisambodo came under public scrutiny after his son, Mario Dandy Satrio, assaulted the son of a GP Ansor official. The reasonableness of Rafael's substantial wealth has also been questioned, deemed disproportionate to his position.

Most recently, the Ministry of Finance removed Rafael Alun from his position as Head of General Affairs at the South Jakarta II Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxes following the incident. Deputy Minister of Finance, Sauahasil Nazara, stated that the removal was to facilitate the investigation process conducted by the Inspectorate General (Itjen).

"The individual's status was revoked from his position as of yesterday, February 23rd. He remains a Civil Servant (ASN), meaning he is still bound by all ASN codes of ethics, discipline, and administrative regulations," said Sauahasil, as quoted by *Katadata.co.id*, Friday (24/2/2023).

Regarding Rafael Alun's substantial wealth, KPK Deputy for Prevention, Pahala Nainggolan, emphasized that there is no prohibition against officials possessing large assets or wealth. However, he stated that their wealth must be commensurate with their income profile.

"It's not forbidden. If you look at the announcements, many have substantial wealth. The problem is the profile doesn't match. So, if the wealth is substantial, but the profile matches, there's no problem. For example, if his father was a sultan, he inherited a lot, there are also officials like that," said Pahala Nainggolan in Jakarta, Thursday (24/2/2023).

According to Pahala, the KPK has not yet examined Rafael Alun's wealth in detail. However, he confirmed that the former tax official's wealth is not in line with his profile as an echelon III official.

Based on the State Officials' Wealth Report (LHKPN) website, Rafael Alun is recorded as having total assets of approximately Rp 56.1 billion in 2021. Rafael Alun reported this wealth on February 17, 2022.

The majority of Rafael Alun's wealth comes from 11 plots of land and buildings located in Sleman, Manado, West Jakarta, and South Jakarta. The value of his immovable assets reaches Rp 51.93 billion.

Furthermore, he owns securities worth Rp 1.55 billion, and cash and cash equivalents amounting to Rp 1.34 billion.

Rafael Alun is also recorded as owning transportation and machinery totaling Rp 425 million. This includes a 2008 Toyota Camry Sedan worth Rp 125 million and a 2018 Toyota Kijang worth Rp 300 million.

The former tax official also has other movable assets worth Rp 420 million and other assets worth Rp 419.04 million. On the other hand, Rafael Alun is recorded as having no debt whatsoever.

Previously, Rafael Alun stated that he was ready to account for all his wealth. "Regarding the news about my wealth, as a form of accountability, I am ready to provide clarification regarding the wealth I possess," said Rafael, Thursday (23/2/2023).
