Central Java Food Prices, Friday (31/5): What's the Price of Onions?

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (31/5/2024) at 08.32 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include granulated sugar, Indian mackerel, medium-grain rice, farmer-level corn, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chili peppers, broiler chicken meat, garlic bulbs, premium rice, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp4,210 (36.61%) to Rp15,710 per kg. Premium rice experienced the lowest price decrease, falling Rp720 (4.89%) to Rp14,000 per kg.
