Latest Indonesian Food Prices: Sugar and Chicken Prices Fall

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (21/01/2025) at 09.27 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 14 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include medium-grain rice, pure beef, livestock-grade corn, Indian mackerel, and curly red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, chicken eggs, dry soybean (import), packaged wheat flour, and red chili peppers decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Livestock-grade corn experienced the highest price increase, jumping Rp196 (3.05%) to Rp6,630 per kg. Meanwhile, large red chilies saw the largest price decrease, falling Rp1,461 (2.59%) to Rp54,945 per kg.
