East Java Food Price Update Today: Chili Prices Rise, Rice Prices Fall (Wednesday, March 13, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (13/3/2024) at 11:09 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include chicken eggs, red chilies, curly red chilies, pure beef, and farmer-level corn.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as medium rice, granulated sugar, simple packaged cooking oil, dry soybean (import), and fine iodized salt decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp4,380 (8.69%) to Rp54,800 per kg. The price of mackerel experienced the lowest decrease of Rp1,050 (3.11%) to Rp32,690 per kg.
