Jakarta's Weekly Food Prices (November 17th): Salt and Chili Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in Jakarta today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Sunday (17/11/2024) at 17:52 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, kembung fish, iodized fine salt, red chilies, and medium-grain rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, bulk cooking oil, simple packaged cooking oil, bulk wheat flour, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, up by Rp2,160 (4.81%) to Rp47,080 per kg. Bulk wheat flour experienced the largest price decrease, down by Rp170 (1.6%) to Rp10,470 per kg.
