Current Food Prices in South Sumatra: Rice, Egg, and Beef Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Saturday (26/10/2024) at 17.20 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include mackerel, broiler chicken, red chilies, granulated sugar, and red chili peppers.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), bulk cooking oil, simple packaged cooking oil, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Mackerel prices surged the highest by Rp520 (1.63%) to Rp32,410 per kg. Milkfish prices, on the other hand, decreased the most by Rp400 (1.46%) to Rp27,030 per kg.

8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp26,930 per kg (up 0.34%)
9. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp26,160 per kg (down 0.23%)
