Indonesia Food Prices Saturday (April 27th): Chili Prices Up, Chicken Prices Down

The price of several food commodities in Indonesia today is observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday (27/4/2024) at 14.51 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are red chilies, iodized fine salt, granulated sugar, shallots, and curly red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as broiler chicken, medium rice, simple packaged cooking oil, milkfish, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp830 (1.91%) to Rp44,210 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level saw the lowest decrease of Rp50 (0.65%) to Rp7,680 per kg.
