Jakarta Food Prices Friday (June 21st): Onion, Chicken, and Egg Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in Jakarta today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (21/6/2024) at 10:01 WIB, out of 14 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 4 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include broiler chicken, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), shallots, premium rice, and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, mackerel, red chilies, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of shallot bulbs saw the highest increase, jumping Rp12,230 (28.59%) to Rp55,000 per kg. The price of mackerel saw the sharpest decrease, dropping Rp10,990 (32.33%) to Rp23,000 per kg.

1. Red Chilies: Rp60,000 per kg (down 2.5%)
2. Shallot Bulbs: Rp55,000 per kg (up 28.59%)
3. Shallots: Rp50,000 per kg (up 4.82%)
4. Red Chili Peppers: Rp50,000 per kg (down 5.07%)
5. Broiler Chicken: Rp45,000 per kg (up 22.12%)
6. Milkfish: Rp40,000 per kg (up 0.05%)
7. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp34,000 per kg (up 16.96%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp28,000 per kg (down 20.9%)
9. Mackerel: Rp23,000 per kg (down 32.33%)
10. Granulated Sugar: Rp20,000 per kg (up 7.82%)
11. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp18,000 per liter (up 0.84%)
12. Premium Rice: Rp16,800 per kg (up 7.97%)
13. Packaged Wheat Flour (non-bulk): Rp14,500 per kg (up 11.71%)
