Today's Food Prices in Central Java: Prices of Chilies, Rice, and Onions Rise

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (28/4/2024) at 15.11 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, curly red chilies, pure beef, dry soybean (import), and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as farmer-level corn, skipjack tuna, fine iodized salt, red chili peppers, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp2,310 (6.07%) to Rp40,360 per kg. Fine iodized salt had the lowest price decrease of Rp240 (1.99%) to Rp11,800 per kg.

8. Mackerel: Rp32,240 per kg (up 1.13%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp31,590 per kg (down 0.41%)
10. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp28,020 per kg (up 1.74%)
