Food Prices Today (29/1) in East Java: Oil, Onion, and Egg Prices Rise

Prices of several food commodities in East Java today were observed to be higher than yesterday.

According to data from the Ministry of Trade's Staple Food Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Thursday (January 29, 2026) at 13:54 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 8 increased and 2 decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include bulk palm cooking oil, Honan garlic, imported soybeans, laying hen eggs, and shallots.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as Minyakita and broiler chicken meat decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red cayenne pepper saw the highest increase of Rp5,727 (11.28%) to Rp56,515 per kg. Minyakita price experienced the deepest decline of Rp406 (2.52%) to Rp15,700 per liter.

5. Honan Garlic: Rp33,183 per kg (up 0.91%)
6. Curly Red Chili: Rp31,048 per kg (up 5.08%)
7. Laying Hen Eggs: Rp27,227 per kg (up 0.17%)
8. Large Red Chili: Rp25,894 per kg (up 2.77%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp20,432 per liter (stable)
10. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp18,464 per liter (up 0.09%)
11. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp16,442 per kg (stable)
12. Minyakita: Rp15,700 per liter (down 2.52%)
