Current Food Prices in Banten: Rice, Egg, and Chili Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (20/5/2024) at 15.06 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk cooking oil, kembung fish, premium rice, granulated sugar, and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as garlic bulbs, dry soybean (import), pure beef, fine iodized salt, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices surged the highest by Rp2,060 (6.21%) to Rp35,240 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of dry soybean (import) decreased the least by Rp500 (3.85%) to Rp12,480 per kg.
