Current Food Prices in Central Java: Prices of Chicken Meat, Rice, and Onions Rise

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (20/8/2024) at 16.01 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 15 commodities increased and 6 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include wheat flour (bulk), broiler chicken, medium rice, simple packaged cooking oil, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, fine iodized salt, granulated sugar, skipjack tuna, and dry soybean (import) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) saw the highest price increase of Rp160 (1.34%) to Rp12,110 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili saw the sharpest price decrease of Rp1,400 (2.86%) to Rp47,580 per kg.
