Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Beef and Rice Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (17/7/2024) at 11:23 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are iodized fine salt, dry soybean (import), chicken eggs, curly red chilies, and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, Indian mackerel, milkfish, granulated sugar, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices increased the most, by Rp1,790 (3.36%) to Rp54,990 per kg. The price of milkfish decreased the most, by Rp830 (3.03%) to Rp26,600 per kg.
