Central Java Food Prices, Monday (July 29th): Salt Prices Rise, Onion Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (29/7/2024) at 13.25 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include pure beef, bulk cooking oil, red chilies, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and dry soybean seeds (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, farmer-level corn, granulated sugar, garlic bulbs, and simple packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase of Rp780 (7.0%) to Rp11,930 per kg. Meanwhile, shallots experienced the largest price decrease of Rp520 (2.14%) to Rp23,830 per kg.
