Sumatra Barat Food Prices Saturday (June 22nd): Onion and Rice Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday (22/6/2024) at 11:16 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 14 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include simple packaged cooking oil, bulk cooking oil, skipjack tuna, bulk wheat flour, and mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, curly red chilies, farmer-level corn, red chili peppers, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Skipjack tuna prices saw the highest increase, jumping Rp2,490 (6.64%) to Rp40,010 per kg. Red chili pepper prices saw the steepest decrease, falling Rp15,130 (27.44%) to Rp40,000 per kg.

6. Skipjack Tuna: Rp40,010 per kg (up 6.64%)
7. Red Chili Peppers: Rp40,000 per kg (down 27.44%)
8. Broiler Chicken: Rp34,410 per kg (up 0.88%)
9. Milkfish: Rp30,000 per kg (down 9.77%)
10. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp29,070 per kg (up 1.25%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp18,100 per kg (up 0.33%)
