Bali's Food Prices Today: Onion Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Bali today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (27/7/2024) at 15.54 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, dry soybean (import), SPHP rice, skipjack tuna, and medium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), milkfish, fine iodized salt, mackerel, and farmer-level corn decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Skipjack tuna experienced the highest price increase of Rp750 (2.94%) to Rp26,300 per kg. Meanwhile, mackerel experienced the steepest price drop of Rp9,350 (26.25%) to Rp26,270 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in Bali according to Bapanas on July 27, 2024, at 15.54 WIB.

6. Garlic Bulb: Rp36,190 per kg (up 1.12%)
7. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp27,300 per kg (down 2.6%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp26,300 per kg (up 2.94%)
9. Mackerel: Rp26,270 per kg (down 26.25%)
10. Shallots: Rp24,690 per kg (up 0.45%)
11. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp17,690 per liter (down 0.11%)
