Latest Food Prices in Jakarta: Onions Up, Oil Down

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to be higher compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (25/5/2024) at 13.01 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 10 commodities increased in price and 8 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include milkfish, shallot bulbs, simple packaged cooking oil, broiler chicken, and red onions.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, pure beef, premium rice, medium rice, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red onions saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp2,710 (4.71%) to Rp60,210 per kg. Bulk cooking oil saw the lowest price decrease, dropping Rp310 (1.95%) to Rp15,580 per liter.
