Banten Region Food Prices Today: Onion Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

Prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (25/8/2024) at 13.31 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, simple packaged cooking oil, shallots, pure beef, and garlic cloves.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken eggs, bulk wheat flour, fine iodized salt, red chilies, and dry soybean (import) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of garlic cloves saw the highest increase, jumping by Rp940 (2.46%) to Rp39,180 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of dry soybean (import) saw the largest decrease, dropping by Rp480 (3.61%) to Rp12,800 per kg.
