Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency Had the Largest Economy in Jambi in 2020

West Tanjung Jabung Regency had the largest economy in Jambi in 2020. Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the gross regional domestic product (GRDP) at current prices (ADHB) in the regency was Rp 37.15 trillion in 2020. This contributed 17.88% to the GRDP of all regencies/cities in Jambi, which reached Rp 207.75 trillion.

The agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sector was the largest contributor to West Tanjung Jabung's GRDP last year, at Rp 11.19 trillion or 30.14%. This was followed by the mining and quarrying sector, which contributed Rp 9.99 trillion or 26.9%.

The next largest GRDP was in Jambi City, at Rp 29.82 trillion last year. Muaro Jambi Regency and East Tanjung Jabung Regency had GRDPs of Rp 24.55 trillion and Rp 19.5 trillion, respectively.

Bungo Regency's GRDP was recorded at Rp 17.37 trillion. Batanghari Regency had a GRDP of Rp 16.43 trillion.

Merangin Regency and Tebo Regency each had GRDPs of Rp 15.69 trillion and Rp 14.76 trillion, respectively. Sarolangun Regency's GRDP was Rp 14.76 trillion.

Kerinci Regency's GRDP was Rp 10.45 trillion. Meanwhile, Sungai Penuh Regency's GRDP was recorded at Rp 7.57 trillion.
