Jakarta, Indonesia Food Price Update Today: Wheat Flour Prices Up, Fish Prices Down (Tuesday, December 12, 2023)

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at 10:17 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 14 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are bulk wheat flour, bulk cooking oil, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), broiler chicken, and medium-grain rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as simple packaged cooking oil, granulated sugar, red chilies, garlic bulbs, and iodized fine salt decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Bulk wheat flour experienced the highest price increase of Rp790 (7.78%), reaching Rp10,950 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of skipjack tuna experienced the largest decrease of Rp3,230 (8.91%), reaching Rp33,020 per kg.
