Yogyakarta Special Region's Current Food Prices: Onion Prices Rise, Rice Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta Special Region today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (9/11/2024) at 10:13 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include simple packaged cooking oil, tongkol fish, shallots, bulk cooking oil, and SPHP rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), premium rice, granulated sugar, garlic bulbs, and pure beef decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots experienced the highest price increase, up by Rp2,410 (7.55%) to Rp34,340 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of dry soybean seeds (import) decreased the most, down by Rp270 (2.92%) to Rp8,970 per kg.
