The daily price of medium-quality rice in traditional markets in Papua Province has decreased by 2.04% over the last month.

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of medium-quality I rice in traditional markets in Papua Province is recorded at Rp16,850. This price is unchanged compared to the previous day, and similarly, there has been no change in price over the past week.

Compared to the price over the past month, the daily price of medium-quality I rice in traditional markets has increased from the previously recorded Rp16,800.

Meanwhile, the daily price of medium-quality I rice in traditional markets in Papua over the past three months has shown a 0% decrease. According to historical food price records in the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of medium-quality I rice in traditional markets in Papua Province is traded at Rp16,850.

The record high for the daily price of medium-quality I rice in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in April 2023 with an increase of 38.46%, and the lowest decrease was also recorded in April 2023 at -27.51%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in Papua show seven commodities decreased and 13 increased. The basic commodities with decreased prices are: Curly Red Chili, Large Red Chili, Garlic, Red Chili, Rice, Medium Quality I Rice, and Medium Quality II Rice.
