Indonesia's Food Prices Today: Prices of Oil, Beef, and Sugar Rise

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Friday (12/7/2024) at 13:24 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, medium-grain rice, simple packaged cooking oil, chicken eggs, and farmer-level corn.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, curly red chilies, dry soybean (import), mackerel, and SPHP rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp1,190 (2.26%) to Rp53,780 per kg. Curly red chilies, on the other hand, experienced the largest price drop, falling Rp380 (0.82%) to Rp45,810 per kg.
