Yogyakarta Special Region Food Prices Week of September 15th: Oil and Onion Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta, D.I. today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Sunday (15/9/2024) at 10:36 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased in price and 8 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, milkfish, bulk cooking oil, premium rice, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as Indian mackerel, skipjack tuna, red chili peppers, pure beef, and simple packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of curly red chilies increased the most, by Rp1,410 (7.25%) to Rp20,870 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of fine iodized salt decreased the most sharply, by Rp600 (5.11%) to Rp11,140 per kg.
