Current Food Prices in East Java: Salt and Oil Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday (14/9/2024) at 09.21 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 17 commodities increased in price and 4 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include chicken eggs, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), granulated sugar, iodized fine salt, and corn at the farmer level.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, red chili peppers, Indian mackerel, and pure beef decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili peppers experienced the highest price increase, up by Rp3,800 (18.07%) to Rp24,830 per kg. Indian mackerel saw the sharpest price drop, down Rp1,610 (4.85%) to Rp31,610 per kg.

6. Skipjack Tuna: Rp31,520 per kg (up 5.49%)
7. Red Chili Peppers: Rp30,930 per kg (down 1.5%)
8. Chicken Eggs: Rp25,240 per kg (up 0.28%)
9. Curly Red Chili Peppers: Rp24,830 per kg (up 18.07%)
10. Red Onion: Rp21,930 per kg (up 0.41%)
