Jakarta Food Prices Wednesday (August 7th): Egg, Onion, and Sugar Prices Drop

Food prices in DKI Jakarta today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Wednesday (7/8/2024) at 12:09 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include skipjack tuna, Indian mackerel, simple packaged cooking oil, medium rice, and bulk wheat flour.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken eggs, fine iodized salt, granulated sugar, shallots, and pure beef have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Indian mackerel prices saw the highest increase, jumping Rp2,310 (6.65%) to Rp37,050 per kg. Chicken prices saw the steepest decrease, dropping Rp3,660 (9.92%) to Rp33,220 per kg.
