Central Java Food Price Update Today: Salt Prices Rise, Rice Prices Fall (Friday, February 23, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (23/2/2024) at 10:09 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include pure beef, bulk wheat flour, bulk cooking oil, premium rice, and iodized fine salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as farmer-level corn, dry soybean (import), red chili peppers, garlic bulbs, and broiler chicken decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase of Rp2,110 (18.76%), reaching Rp13,360 per kg. Medium rice saw the lowest price decrease of Rp430 (2.86%), reaching Rp14,630 per kg.
