Local Sugar Prices in Gorontalo Highest in Indonesia (Friday, August 2, 2024)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of IDR 17,560 per kg for local granulated sugar in modern markets across several provinces as of Friday, August 2, 2024. Overall, this week's average is lower than the previous week's average of IDR 17,630 per kg.

The daily price of local granulated sugar in Gorontalo's modern markets was the highest in Indonesia at IDR 23,000 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of local granulated sugar in this province is higher; previously it was recorded at IDR 12,000 per kg.

Meanwhile, in West Papua's modern markets, the price of local granulated sugar was sold at IDR 19,350 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Following in third, fourth, and fifth place, the price of local granulated sugar was IDR 18,550 per kg in North Kalimantan, IDR 18,500 per kg in Papua, and IDR 18,400 per kg in Central Sulawesi.

Meanwhile, 17 provinces had local granulated sugar prices below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest local granulated sugar prices were Bengkulu, DKI Jakarta, and Bangka Belitung Islands.
