Local Sugar Prices in Gorontalo are the Highest in Indonesia (Tuesday, August 6, 2024)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of local granulated sugar (per kg) in modern markets across several provinces at Rp 17,560 per kg, as of Tuesday, August 6, 2024. Overall, the average this week decreased compared to the previous week's average of Rp 17,630 per kg.

The daily price of local granulated sugar in Gorontalo's modern markets was the highest in Indonesia, at Rp 23,000 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of local granulated sugar in this province is higher; previously it was recorded at Rp 12,000 per kg.

Meanwhile, in West Papua's modern markets, the price of local granulated sugar was sold at Rp 19,350 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of local granulated sugar in North Kalimantan was Rp 18,550 per kg, Papua Rp 18,500 per kg, and Central Sulawesi Rp 18,400 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are 17 provinces with local granulated sugar sales below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for local granulated sugar are Bengkulu, DKI Jakarta, and Bangka Belitung Islands.
