Current Food Prices in East Java: Prices of Oil, Eggs, and Sugar Rise

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are monitored to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (17/02/2025) at 13.12 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged cooking oil, premium rice, garlic bulbs, livestock-grade corn, and packaged wheat flour.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as mackerel, shallots, Minyakita (branded cooking oil), medium rice, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Livestock-grade corn experienced the highest price increase, jumping Rp139 (2.55%) to Rp5,598 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of milkfish decreased the most, dropping Rp1,061 (3.27%) to Rp31,339 per kg.
