Latest Central Java Food Prices: Salt Prices Up, Cooking Oil Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (18/10/2024) at 08.01 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include milkfish, pure beef, simple packaged cooking oil, granulated sugar, and farmer-level corn.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as medium rice, premium rice, garlic cloves, SPHP rice, and broiler chicken have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase of Rp3,910 (34.88%) to Rp15,120 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of bulk cooking oil decreased the most, by Rp1,240 (7.58%) to Rp15,110 per liter.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in Central Java according to Bapanas on October 18, 2024, at 08.01 WIB.

6. Broiler Chicken: Rp34,090 per kg (down 3.02%)
7. Mackerel: Rp32,860 per kg (up 5.76%)
8. Curly Red Chili Peppers: Rp25,020 per kg (up 16.43%)
9. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp24,930 per kg (down 3.03%)
