Current Food Prices in DKI Jakarta: Rice Up, Chilies Down

Food prices in DKI Jakarta today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (1/7/2024) at 11:43 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 6 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include chicken eggs, shallots, medium-grain rice, granulated sugar, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, chicken meat, skipjack tuna, iodized fine salt, and red chili peppers decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Medium-grain rice saw the highest price increase, up by Rp710 (5.31%) to Rp14,090 per kg. Red chili peppers experienced the largest price decrease, down Rp3,330 (7.17%) to Rp43,090 per kg.
