Forbes released a list of the world's 2,781 richest people, spread across 75 countries, in December 2024.

The United States had the highest number of billionaires globally as of Saturday, December 7, 2024, with 820 billionaires.

In total, the richest individuals in the United States possess US$6.826 trillion (Rp108.299 trillion) in wealth, assuming an exchange rate of Rp15,865/US$ on December 7, 2024.

China followed in second place with 403 billionaires. The total wealth of Chinese billionaires amounted to US$1.469 trillion (Rp23.307 trillion). The wealth of individual Chinese billionaires ranged from US$1.02 billion to US$56.45 billion, equivalent to Rp16.13 trillion to Rp895.6 trillion.

India came in below China, with 218 billionaires and a combined wealth of US$1.044 trillion (Rp16.574 trillion).

Indonesia did not make the top 10 countries with the most billionaires. However, Indonesia was ranked 10th with 50 billionaires possessing a collective wealth of US$157.71 billion (Rp2.502 trillion).
