Indonesia's Current Food Prices: Onions Up, Chilies Down

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (24/10/2024) at 12:29 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 17 commodities increased and 3 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include dried soybean (import), garlic cloves, broiler chicken meat, bulk wheat flour, and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chili peppers, milkfish, and mackerel decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of livestock-level corn increased the most, by Rp60 (1.01%) to Rp6,030 per kg. The price of milkfish decreased the most sharply, by Rp80 (0.24%) to Rp33,100 per kg.
