Current Food Prices in Central Java: Cooking Oil Up, Chilies Down

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to be lower than yesterday's.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday, November 23rd, 2024, at 4:28 PM WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased in price and 11 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include kembung fish, shallots, tongkol fish, broiler chicken meat, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, curly red chilies, premium rice, dry soybean seeds (import), and farmer-level corn decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Tongkol fish experienced the highest price increase of Rp620 (2.04%) to Rp30,950 per kg. Curly red chilies saw the sharpest price drop of Rp400 (2.08%) to Rp18,800 per kg.
