These are the Ministries/Institutions with the Largest Budgets in the 2023 State Budget

In the 2023 State Budget Draft (RAPBN 2023), the government has allocated Rp993.17 trillion for Ministry/Agency (K/L) spending. This figure represents a 3.81% decrease compared to the 2022 outlook.

The Ministry of Defense received the largest budget allocation in the RAPBN 2023, amounting to Rp131.9 trillion. This is 1.12% lower than the 2022 outlook.

The largest portion of the Ministry of Defense's budget is allocated to management support (Rp79.1 trillion), followed by the modernization of main defense equipment systems (Alutsista) (Rp35.88 trillion), and professionalism and welfare (Rp11.04 trillion).

The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) received the second-largest budget at Rp125.2 trillion for the coming year. This is followed by the Police (Rp107.8 trillion), the Ministry of Health (Rp88.5 trillion), and the Ministry of Education (Rp80.2 trillion).

Other ministries with significant budgets include the Ministry of Social Affairs (Rp78.2 trillion), the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Rp70.4 trillion), the Ministry of Finance (Rp45.2 trillion), and the Ministries of Transportation and Communication and Information Technology (Kominfo) (Rp19.7 trillion).

The total budget for these top 10 ministries/agencies amounts to Rp780.5 trillion, representing 78.59% of the total K/L expenditure budget for 2023.
