Current Food Prices in South Sumatra: Prices of Chicken, Sugar, and Chilies Fall

The price of several food commodities in South Sumatra today is observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (26/9/2024) at 13.44 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are skipjack tuna, tongkol tuna, simple packaged cooking oil, garlic bulbs, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as broiler chicken, milkfish, curly red chilies, shallots, and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of tongkol tuna increased the most, by Rp190 (0.7%) to Rp27,160 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of shallots decreased the most sharply, by Rp250 (0.98%) to Rp25,210 per kg.
