South Sumatra Food Price Update Today: Chili Prices Rise, Salt Prices Fall (Sunday, February 4, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (4/2/2024) at 12:28 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 14 commodities increased and 5 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include curly red chilies, broiler chicken meat, premium rice, bulk cooking oil, and granulated sugar.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, skipjack tuna, Indian mackerel, iodized fine salt, and dry soybean (import) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp10,600 (18.99%) to Rp66,420 per kg. The price of Indian mackerel saw the lowest decrease of Rp410 (1.23%) to Rp32,820 per kg.
