East Java Food Price Update Today: Salt Prices Rise, Corn Prices Fall (Sunday, December 10, 2023)

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (10/12/2023) at 12:31 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 14 commodities increased and 5 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include broiler chicken, skipjack tuna, bulk cooking oil, medium-grain rice, and pure beef.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), milkfish, farmer-level corn, mackerel, and dry soybean (import) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp530 (5.47%) to Rp10,220 per kg. Farmer-level corn experienced the lowest price decrease, dropping Rp210 (3.21%) to Rp6,330 per kg.
