East Java Food Prices Thursday (24/10): Chili and Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Thursday (24/10/2024) at 11:05 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include garlic bulbs, dry soybean (import), red chili peppers, bulk cooking oil, and granulated sugar.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, chicken eggs, bulk wheat flour, premium rice, and pure beef have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili peppers saw the highest price increase of Rp1,430 (4.39%) to Rp34,010 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of Indian mackerel experienced the steepest decrease of Rp2,310 (6.98%) to Rp30,790 per kg.
