Today's Food Price Update in Yogyakarta Special Region: Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down (Friday, April 5, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta, D.I. today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (5/4/2024) at 10:08 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk wheat flour, bulk cooking oil, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), mackerel fish, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, medium rice, pure beef, dry soybean (import), and simple packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of curly red chilies saw the highest increase, jumping Rp2,010 (5.93%) to Rp35,880 per kg. The price of dry soybean (import) saw the lowest decrease, dropping Rp250 (2.25%) to Rp10,860 per kg.
