Food Prices in Jakarta, Saturday (August 3rd): What's the Price of Onions?

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday (3/8/2024) at 12:09 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 5 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include granulated sugar, bulk wheat flour, skipjack tuna, chicken eggs, and milkfish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as cayenne pepper, iodized fine salt, red chili peppers, mackerel, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Chicken meat prices surged the highest by Rp3,520 (9.78%) to Rp39,510 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red chili peppers decreased the most by Rp6,570 (7.92%) to Rp76,340 per kg.
