Food Prices in East Java on Wednesday (25/12): Onions Up, Chilies Down

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (25/12/2024) at 15.32 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are dry soybean (import), kembung fish, tongkol fish, garlic bulbs, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as farmer-level corn, pure beef, SPHP rice, bulk cooking oil, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of tongkol fish increased the most, by Rp3,070 (10.37%) to Rp32,670 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chilies decreased the most sharply, by Rp3,650 (9.64%) to Rp34,200 per kg.

9. Tongkol Fish: Rp32,670 per kg (up 10.37%)
