Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Chili Up, Salt Down (Wednesday, January 31, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (31/1/2024) at 11:22 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include mackerel, granulated sugar, pure beef, milkfish, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as medium rice, garlic bulbs, red chilies, simple packaged cooking oil, and iodized fine salt decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish experienced the highest price increase of Rp800 (2.82%) to Rp29,140 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of bulk wheat flour decreased the most, by Rp420 (4.19%) to Rp9,610 per kg.

6. Broiler Chicken: Rp30,720 per kg (up 1.15%)
7. Red Onion: Rp30,670 per kg (down 1.26%)
